Giardino

Summary
Inspired by the hilltop town of Orvieto, Giardino is a humble and poetic text typeface rooted in classical calligraphic and inscriptional forms found throughout Italy. Its low-contrast, large x-height, and hints of the broad nib pen make it great for use in long-form text or poetry set at small sizes.

Giardino is an in-progress project started at the Type@Cooper Extended Program in 2024.
